Notes: First clear spell with no Moon since Oct 21. Oddly warm for the time of year and lots of moisture in the atmosphere. Where have the crisp autumn nights gone? Drifting cloud made this observation difficult. The galaxy was glimpsed momentarily on and off over more than an hour. Seen as just a haze sometimes with DV, sometimes needing AV. The Deep Sky filter darkens the background noticeably but doesn’t make the galaxy any more visible. Session abandoned due to mediocre conditions. |
