Notes: A hurried observation ahead of cloud blowing in from the W. Initially very good transparency deteriorated to zero. This galaxy pair are located just N of the 5.9m star 16 Psc. NGC 7714 shows an unexpected amount of detail. It gives the impression of being a face-on irregular spiral. In particular there is a noticeable line running NW from the core dividing dark and light regions. On the opposite side of the core there is a dark lane and hints of a spiral arm. Conversely NGC 7715, while not difficult to see, is only an inconspicuous narrow streak. |
