Notes: Transparency deteriorated noticeably during the course of this observation. When I first arrived at the field ‘something’ was easily visible with DV, but then became progressively more difficult. The galaxy was only well seen during a few separate moments. At best, a narrow curve or arc of illumination was visible. This is VV 89a. I could not detect the other component, VV 89b. It is magnitude 17.0 and might be within reach in the very best conditions. |
