Notes: Struck me as shaped like a dagger. Lots of detail apparent. Two prominent dust lanes split the main body into three. Areas of small scale mottling too fleeting and detailed to draw. Delicate faint short rays extend to the S. Supernova (long arrow): I wish I’d not read the discovery report that it is on the orange side of white. I fancied it is a warm white hue but is it really? I estimate the magnitude equal to GSC 4383:1106 (short arrow) which puts the supernova at mag 11.8 (Megastar data). |
