Notes: Not particularly difficult, a faint mottled patch was visible with DV. However the detail was only seen using AV. It appears as two cores embedded in an oval halo. The N core is oval, the S core is round. IC 5379 is about 3 minutes S of IC 5378. IC 5377 is about 9 minutes SW of IC 5378. Neither was definitely seen. |
