Notes: Strong E winds drawing polluted air in from France/Germany. The dirty air is aggravating light pollution. Milky Way only just visible in the zenith. This Arp object comprises five components A to E. Only A&B are in range of my kit. At first these were just seen as an oval haze but in improving conditions I later saw it as two round glows in contact. There is a faint star to SE. Curiously, component B appeared larger and brighter than A, the opposite of what the catalogue data suggests. |
