Notes: An inconspicuous object. I saw it as more or less circular but the boundaries are indefinite. I am only seeing the central 1’ or so, vastly less than the catalogue size. There is a foreground star in the halo S of the core plus I had the impression of other field stars at or near the limit of visibility. No features were seen and certainly no sign of the ‘narrow filaments’ on the NE side which were noted by Arp. |
