Notes: I have five galaxies in the 17mm field, NGCs 3413, 3424 and 3430 being the other three lying about 25’ E of Arp 270. The two galaxies comprising Arp 270 are seen in contact and both have bright cores. The halo of 3395 is elongated 2:1 aligned NS but the core is at right angles to this. An arm that arcs to the S was not seen. 3396 is very elongated in ratio 3:1 or 4:1. |
