Notes: Conditions looked promising to the unaided eye but were not that special through the telescope. Arp 280 shows as an angular splinter of light with the sharp end to the S. The edges are well defined. There is a noticeable core and mottling. The companion galaxy was very difficult, barely visible and insignificant. I could not decide whether or not it was in contact with Arp 280. |
