Notes: Very easy to locate between two sixth magnitude stars about 14’ apart. However the S star of the pair interferes as it is so close it cannot easily be excluded it from the field, even with the 50 degree field Plossl eyepiece. Object comprises two needle galaxies at 90º. I could not decide whether they are in contact or not. Two other galaxies were seen at the bottom of the Ethos’ field, NGC 160 (12.6m) and UGC 354 (15.7m). |
