Notes: In the same field as Arps 88 and 119. Arp 119 was visible. Searched for Arps 48 and 88 but unable to locate them. Tried again without success the following night, December 15, in difficult conditions. Transparency was very good but seeing was poor and I was observing through fleeting gaps in 70% cloud cover. In the drawing the position of Arp 48 is marked by the circle. |
