Notes: Part of the Hickson 44 group. 3193: (11.8m) round and bright across most of its diameter. 3190: (12.1m) elongated 4:1 NW-SE. The SW edge is sharply defined with the brightness falling off abruptly; it reminds me of NGC 7331. This effect is caused by a dust lane. 3187: (13.9m) very faint but seen and held with DV. Seen only as an oval haze. The “integral sign” shape which appears in deep images was not seen. The major axes of 3187 and 3190 are in alignment. |
