Notes: This galaxy is not in Megastar, a search for Arp 88 takes you to the correct location but no object is plotted. In the same field as Arps 48 and 119. Arp 119 was visible. Searched for Arps 48 and 88 but unable to locate them. Tried again without success the following night, December 15, in difficult conditions. Transparency was very good but seeing was poor and I was observing through fleeting gaps in 70% cloud cover. In the drawing the position of Arp 88 is marked by the circle. |
