Notes: The galaxy core and halo is elongated NS in the ratio 2:1. There is a circular nucleus. At one point the outer part of the halo appeared brighter than regions closer to the centre, giving the appearance of a ring. However I could not repeat this and so I have not included it in the drawing. There is a faint star just SW of the core. The halo does not quite extend out to this star. |
