Notes: The Black Eye Galaxy. Big and bright. It is a well-concentrated 2:1 oval aligned ESE-WNW. My drawing indicates I have detected the major axis out to a length of 7 arcmins. There is a sizable, conspicuous oval core with the easily seen dark lane on the N side. No structure seen in the halo. |
