Notes: Early hazier conditions are improving but seeing worse. This object is set in a very rich star field so would benefit from improved seeing. Only the principal stars visible are recorded in the drawing, while the portrayal of dense drifts of faint stars is representative. I would not class this as a globular cluster based on its visual appearance. There is an oblong of bright stars lying EW and within this is set a vague oval cloud of very faint stars reminiscent of M11 the Wild Duck Cluster. There is only a weak central concentration. My observed dimensions are only about 3 x 4 arc-minutes, nothing like the catalogue data. |
