Here is my home-made 3-mirror folded-light-path refractor projecting a 6-inch diameter image of the Sun. After a refraction, three reflections, another refraction and a projection, the image is presented the right way up and the right way round, N at the top and E on the left!
Here is a photo of the projected image snapped with an ancient phone camera. The time stamp is BST not UT. Mercury is on the left, half an hour after the start.
Finally, this is a drawing of the progress of the transit (times are UT) until cloud stopped play during the afternoon.
