Notes: Megastar 5.0 mis-identifies this galaxy as MCG+3-23-9 and takes you into Cancer. Use the MCG number. Seen 90 minutes after meridian transit and so low in the sky. Arp 7 was easily visible despite being 14.5m. It must be very high surface brightness. There is a stellar core set in an even, slightly oval halo aligned NW-SE. Compare the visibility of this object with Arp 263 seen the same evening. |
