Notes: Transparency has improved slightly. This galaxy has an oval halo. Hints of spiral arms were seen intermittently with AV, one each side of the core. After the event I note there are two 14th magnitude satellite galaxies in this field. I didn’t notice either, a pointer to the very average atmospheric conditions. Tried again on May 17 but the view was no better. |
