Notes: Half a degree N of 5th magnitude star 5 Serpens. This cluster is so much better than the numerous more southerly globulars I’ve looked at recently in Sagittarius & Scorpius which appear miserable from here. Resolution into stars achieved right to the centre. Its diameter across the tenuous outer reaches is around 20 arcmins . |
