Notes: The appearance of Arp 157 reminded me of Arp 158. It is fan shaped, aligned NW-SE with the tip pointing NW. The tip and N edge are well defined and brighter than the S edge. There is a companion galaxy in the field but it is 18th magnitude so well beyond my equipment. |
