Notes: Seven degrees E of Antares. The overall shape is a ratio 5:6 oval with the long axis oriented more or less NS. There are two bright foreground stars either side on the N edge. In the halo to the S are two dark structures, perhaps obscuration by foreground dust clouds. At times it appeared that the core might be double, or bifurcated. The whole cluster appears grainy but there very little resolution into stars. |
